Dance with your heart, soul and body. After knowing the basic bellydance you can start making your own dance. Thats why I dont use choreography in my students training. Dance is not only about techniques. If you know the techniques it does not necessarily mean that you know how to dance. If you find the rhythm and soul in the music and only know a few movments, you are able to make something really nice and special. Is the music happy, sad or longing? What are they singing about? One day you feel the music is about love. The other day you may think the music is a litle sad. Doing this you never make the same dance, and you dont have to count the steps. Learning this takes a lot longer time and a lot of listening to different music. But its worth it! Then you can be able to dance whenever you whant to whatever music you feel like.
